6724 De Celis Place, Lake Balboa CA 91406 | $875,000

Some homes simply have a feeling you can't manufacture, and 6724 De Celis is one of them. Set along a charming, Storybook-like tree-canopied street that feels like a step back in time, this enchanting Lake Balboa home is surrounded by grassy parkways, mature trees and beautifully kept homes showcasing the character of an earlier Los Angeles. For many years, this was the almost-forever home of a prolific artist, and it is easy to understand why. Natural light pours through windows on nearly every wall, illuminating beautiful hardwood floors and creating a warm, cheerful connection between indoors and out. The living and dining areas flow beautifully into an impressive family room addition with vaulted open-beam wood ceilings, a romantic stone fireplace and sliding doors to the backyard. Tucked within this wonderful space is a generous artist/craft retreat concealed behind accordion doors; leave your paints, projects, crafts or homework spread out, close the doors when guests arrive, and pick up right where you left off. The ultra-charming kitchen retains its delightful pale yellow and black tile, while a beautiful stained-glass window adds another touch of personality. Three spacious bedrooms offer generous closets and wonderful natural light. A full bath, convenient laundry room with side access and attached two-car garage complete the home. Outside, a brick-trimmed front porch is tucked behind a mature privacy hedge, while the backyard holds another surprise: an adorable freestanding mini-house with windows, door and roofready for storage, creative space, office, exercise
