1576-78 Diamond St, San Diego CA 92109 | $3,000,000

Variance granted Detached. First time listed since 1937, the Haskins-Skinner home is steeped in history! This is a well preserved example of early Craftsman architecture and master carpentry and a real contender for Mills Act for architecture and former residents. The home features a large kitchen with two pantries, a huge dining room, a parlor and a large living room with fireplace. There is also a generous laundry room next to the kitchen. On the ground floor there is a half bath and a beautiful wrap-around porch. The second level is accessed by a graceful staircase as well as a second service staircase from the kitchen. There are 3 large bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom, another with access to a large veranda, and a common bathroom. The rear building was constructed in the early 1980s and consists of 5 garage bays, a 525 sf rec-room with a full bath and walk-in closet. This could potentially be converted to a large studio apartment or 1 bedroom. Above the garages there is a 1,000 sf apartment with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths currently rented for $3,725. This property is great for multi generational living. The last 5 photos are of the interior of the rec-room which could make a great studio with the addition of a kitchenette.
